Review of “Django Unchained”

Saw “Django Unchained” today.

It’s typical Tarantino — great dialogue, great soundtrack, excessive violence, and many cameos by forgotten stars.

Some scenes of  cruelty to slaves are hard to watch.

The best surprise for me was Samuel Jackson as Leonardo deCaprio’s butler.  I did not recognize him at first.  His performance is outstanding and worthy of an Academy Award.

I loved this movie and gave it 5 stars out of 5.
